Dr. Israel Manzanedo is a Consultant General and Digestive Surgeon at the Department of General and Digestive Surgery, at the Fuenlabrada University Hospital in Madrid, Spain. He graduated in Medicine in 2006, specialized in General and Digestive Surgery in 2012, and earned his PhD cum laude from the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid in 2021.

Since 2014, he has worked in the Peritoneal Carcinomatosis Unit at the hospital, one of the most prestigious in Spain. His main areas of expertise are peritoneal oncologic surgery and esophagogastric surgery. 

As an expert in peritoneal oncologic surgery, he has given numerous presentations in various national and international courses and conferences.

He is the author or co-author of numerous articles in high-impact journals with an H index of 8.

He has also written chapters in several books and collaborated on various consensus documents and clinical guidelines.

He is a member of the European Society for Surgical Oncology (ESSO), a member of the Spanish Society of Surgical Oncology (SEOQ), a member of the Spanish Group of Peritoneal Oncologic Surgery (GECOP), and the Spanish Association of Surgeons (AEC).
