Dr. Mariano Laporte is a colorectal surgeon, from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He graduated from the School of Medicine at Universidad de Buenos Aires followed by surgical training in Hospital Alejandro Posadas. 

He then completed training at Hospital Aleman, finishing in 2008 a two years fellowship in colon & rectal surgery.

He has published many manuscripts and book chapters as the author or co-author. 

Dr. Laporte is a board member of the AAC (Asociacion Argentina de Cirugia). 

Actually is the Editor in Chief of the official journal of Sociedad Argentina de Coloproctologia (Revista Argentina de Coloproctologia).

His main professional and scientific interests focus on colorectal oncologic surgery, minimally invasive approach and postoperative complications in colorectal surgery.
