Dr. Adedapo Osinowo, a General Surgeon with a special interest in Colorectal disorders. He has been a lecturer with the College of Medicine University of Lagos (CMUL) since 2009 and an Honorary Consultant and Laparoscopic General Surgeon with Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
He acquired his Endoscopy and Laparoscopic surgical skills from two prestigious institutions: World Laparoscopy Hospital India and IRCAD Laparoscopic Training Centre Strasbourg, France.
He is a quintessential teacher, lectures medical students at the College of Medicine, University Lagos; and trains Residents in General Surgery, Basic Surgical Skills, and Basic laparoscopic Surgery. He is also a trainer of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy for Residents at the World Gastroenterology Organization Lagos Training Center (WGO-LTC) in Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
He specializes in General Surgery and Minimal Access Surgery, and his areas of interest are Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery and Endoscopy (Therapeutic colonoscopy and gastroscopy).
He is passionate about colorectal cancer awareness, prevention, and treatment, hence he co-founded and serves as a Medical Consultant to Niola Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization involved with creating increased awareness of colorectal cancer to the populace and supporting indigent cancer patients.
He is a member of many professional bodies: Laparoscopic Surgery Society of Nigeria (LASSON), Nigerian Society for Colorectal Disorders (NSCRD), and Society for Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Nigeria (SOGHIN).
He has authored many articles on Gastric cancer, Colorectal cancer, and Colonoscopy in both local and international journals.
