Dr. Artem Stepanyan is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Advanced Gynecologic Surgery at the National Institute of Health in Armenia. With over 20 years of experience in gynecologic oncology, Dr. Stepanyan also leads the Gynecological Oncology Service at Nairi Medical Center. He served as an Associate Professor at Yerevan State Medical University.


Dr. Stepanyan has a long-standing engagement with the European Society of Gynecological Oncology (ESGO), having been a council member from 2019 to 2024. He holds international memberships with the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the International Gynecological Cancer Society (IGCS), among others. His professional journey includes advanced training in radical pelvic surgery, laparoscopy, and gynecological oncology from leading institutions across Europe, such as Charité University Hospital in Berlin, Catholic University Leuven, and the Graz University Hospital.
