Dr. Chris Gillespie is a consultant colorectal surgeon practising in Brisbane, Australia, although originally a kiwi. He is head of the Functional Colorectal Unit at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital and works at two other hospitals in Brisbane. He has an interest in pelvic floor disorders, having co-founded the Queensland Pelvic Floor Centre and has published and authored numerous papers in colorectal pelvic floor disorders. He is treasurer of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia & New Zealand and is an accomplished laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgeon.
