Prof. Dr. Christian Gratzke has held the professorship for urology at the medical faculty of the University of Freiburg since November 2018 and is also the medical director of the clinic for urology.
Prof. Gratzke studied human medicine in Munich and Vienna. He completed his specialist training at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, where he also habilitated and most recently worked as senior consultant in urology. The clinical focus of Prof. Christian Gratzke includes the diagnosis and therapy of prostate carcinoma and benign prostate enlargement. The focus is on new, minimally invasive techniques such as robot-assisted, laparoscopic surgery on the prostate and kidneys.
