Dr. Glauco Alvarez, obesity and digestive system surgeon and technical director of Clínica Dr. Glauco Alvarez, with over 40 years' experience in the field.
He graduated from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), did his residency in General Surgery at the same institution and obtained his doctorate in Medicine - Surgical Clinic from the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (UFCSPA).
He is an associate professor in the Department of Surgery at UFSM and a full member of several medical societies, including the Brazilian Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (SBCBM) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
Dr. Glauco also received Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) certification in 2014 until 2019, and is a specialist in bariatric surgery, recognized by the SBCBM as a Surgeon of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery.
