Dr. Liang is the Director of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Vice President of Chinese Society for
Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (CSMBS), Director of International Bariatric Club - China chapter, President of International Excellence Federation (IEF) for Metabolic
and Bariatric Surgery - China chapter, and member of IFSO and ASMBS. Dr. Liang specializes in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery since 2010, with more than
1500 cases of bariatric surgical experience including sleeve gastrectomy single anastomosis duodenal switch, gastric bypass, gastric plication, sleeve plus procedure
and revisional procedure. As the Vice President of CSMBS, Dr. Liang is responsible for the drafting of the new guidelines on bariatric and metabolic surgery, and
training of new bariatric surgeons and quality control of bariatric surgery in Mainland China.
Dr. Liang has published more than 50 articles in the bariatric and metabolic field, including the journal of “Obesity Surgery” and “Surgery for Obesity and Related
Diseases (SOARD): Regarding Obesity and T2DM Remission”. He is now focusing on the therapeutic effect of novel bariatric procedures in terms of loop DJB+SG and
sleeve gastrectomy with jejunal bypass.
