Mr. James Tibbott is a Consultant Gynaecologist specializing in general gynaecological services, with a particular focus on the management of chronic pelvic pain and menstrual dysfunction. His expertise lies in advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) and minimal access surgery for the diagnosis and treatment of all stages of endometriosis, as well as the removal of fibroids and cysts and performing total laparoscopic hysterectomies. He adopts a holistic and patient-centred approach, offering a diverse range of evidence-based treatment options, including conservative, medical, and surgical management.
With specialized training in advanced laparoscopic surgery, Mr. Tibbott is also a trained robotic surgeon. In addition to his surgical expertise, he provides outpatient hysteroscopy clinics and has extensive experience in managing menstrual dysfunction. He offers comprehensive management plans for pre-menopausal and post-menopausal symptoms, supporting patients in navigating the full spectrum of hormone replacement therapies, including testosterone replacement and medications that may not be available in local hospitals.
Mr. Tibbott is the regional Yorkshire and Humber laparoscopic simulation lead and has contributed to national training initiatives as a member of the task and finish group for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists’ national training programme.
