Urologist specialized in oncological urology. Graduated from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Urologist at the Hospital Universitario del Valle de Hebrón in Barcelona, with residency in various US centers. Associate Professor of Urology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). He is Urologist and Head of the Department of Oncologic Urology at Fundació Puigvert in Barcelona.
Member of the Spanish Association of Urology, European Association of Urology, American Urological Association and Société International d'Urologie. Also member of the board of the European School of Urology.
My interests are focused on clinical research in oncology - urothelial cell carcinomas, especially bladder cancer and upper urinary tract tumors -, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. I have collaborated with the International Consultation on Bladder and Penile Cancer, sponsored by WHO and SIU. Member of the group in charge of the Guidelines in Non-muscle invasive bladder cancer of the EAU and with the International Robot-Assisted Cystectomy Consortium (IRCC).
As a Professor, I have published several chapters in books in Medicine and Urology and participated in more than 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals in Urology. Recent publications deal with bladder cancer - prognostic factors, BCG, guidelines, staging, robotic surgery - and upper tract tumors - laparoscopy, endourology. Lecturer at national and international meetings as a professor at University Hospitals.
Visiting Professor at Washington University (Saint Louis), Columbia University (New York), University of Miami (Florida) and University of Aarhus (Denmark) among others.
