Dr. Kandace McGuire is a Professor of Surgery, the Chief of Breast Surgery and the Surgical Leader of the Multidisciplinary Breast Health Center at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. She also serves as the Senior Vice President for the cancer service line for the Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Her clinical and research interests include disparities in breast cancer care, surgical management of breast cancer after preoperative chemotherapy and patterns of care in axillary surgery.
Dr. McGuire is active in several national organizations, including the Association of Women Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She currently serves as the Past President of the Association of Women Surgeons.
