Dr. Manish Chand is a practising surgeon at The London Clinic and University College Hospital, London; as well as a clinical academic and Associate Professor of Surgery at University College London. He is also the Chief Medical Officer for The AIS Channel.

His clinical interest and expertise is minimally-invasive surgery (laparoscopy and robotic) for colorectal cancer and advanced endometriosis for which he is recognised as a global trainer and key opinion leader offering training to many surgeons across the globe. This includes leading training programmes across the Middle East and North Africa.

His research interests are in surgical technology which include image-guided surgery, fluorescence; AI and Augmented Reality. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles and continues to research into these areas and their integration into the next generation robotic platforms. He has an excellent record on first-in-man studies and believes in enhancing cutting-edge technology for patient care. To this end, he is on the technology committees for the EAES and ASCRS.
