He completed his training as a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the Faculty of Cadiz, heir to the Royal College of Surgeons of the Navy, the first of Hispanidad. After the MIR competition, he obtained a position as a resident doctor in the Urology Department of the Hospital de La Paz, in Madrid, where he completed his specialty with training in laparoscopic surgery.
He practiced for eight years at the recently opened (2008) Hospital Infanta Leonor (Madrid), continuing in that center his experience in prostate laparoscopy and performing more than 200 prostate laser surgeries. In 2018 he returns to practice at La Paz Hospital, where he currently works in the urethral reconstructive surgery and andrology section (Dr. Martínez-Piñeiro) and in the endourology and lithiasis section (Dr. Cansino).
During his training and professional career he has been involved in teaching, either to the medical student in training, to the primary care physician or to the physician in training as a specialist. In his private practice, he applies the same criteria of quality patient care based on his experience acquired over the years in the public sector.
