Marek Babjuk holds a position of Professor of Urology at the Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic. He is also a Chairmen of the Department of Urology at the University Hospital of Motol and the 2nd Faculty of Medicine at the Charles University where he also holds the Vice-dean position since 2014. His main clinical interests are in field of Onco-urology, especially robotic and laparoscopic surgery of bladder cancer. In addition, he is interested in modern non-invasive and endoscopic methods and technologies for bladder cancer diagnosis. Professor Babjuk has been member and chairman of the EAU Working Panel on Non-muscle-invasive Bladder Cancer in the past. He is a past member of the international educational committee of the European School of Urology (ESU) and a past President of Czech Urological Society where he is still a Board member. He is also a member of the scientific board of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine at Charles University, Czech Medical Council and Czech Health Ministry. In addition to teaching Urology at Charles University, he is an adjunct professor at the Medical University Vienna and visiting professor at Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Babjuk authored and co-authored more than 220 original peer-reviewed articles listed in PubMed. He is a member of the editorial board of several scientific journals, including World Journal of Urology, Czech Urology (the official journal of the Czech Urological Society) and European Urology.
