Dr. Mochamad (Muska) M. Nataliansyah is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), and serves as an implementation scientist within the institution’s Collaborative for Healthcare Delivery Science (CHDS). His academic journey includes an MD from Trisakti University (Jakarta, Indonesia), an MPH from Gadjah Mada University, and a PhD in Health Management and Policy from the University of Iowa College of Public Health.
In his clinical role, Dr. Nataliansyah is involved with the LaBahn Pancreatic Cancer Research Program at MCW, contributing to cancer surgery and research efforts — particularly in pancreatic oncology. On the research side, his interests lie in health services research, healthcare delivery, implementation science, telemedicine, rural health, social determinants of health, and reducing disparities in oncology care. He explores how health policy, hospital systems, and cross-sector collaborations shape patient care outcomes.
Dr. Nataliansyah participates in both patient care and academic research, bridging surgical oncology with population health and health-system innovation. His dual focus — on surgery and systems-level research — reflects a commitment to improving not only individual outcomes, but also equity, access, and quality across communities.
