Actively involved in daily cardiothoracic operations as well as continuous medical education (CME) in the latest surgical updates and development. An avid manuscripts and medical journals writer and has published as well as presented many scientific papers in the past.
Dr Shafi has produced and published many papers under indexed journals on frequent basis.He has also travelled to various countries in order to present his manuscripts and have won multiple travel grants as well as young investigator award from the international renowned bodies.
Dr Shafi has a deep interest in becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon as he has been a registrar in the department and has actively assisted and performed many surgeries and procedures.On his own efforts,he has also attached himself for cardiothoracic training in one of the best heart centre in Japan under a prominent Japanese cardiothoracic surgeron.
Dr Shafi is very determined to work hard in order to achieve his ambition and thus return back to his country and train the young doctors as we,many of the South-east Asia countries are still lag behind in terms of the knowledge and technologies in this expanding field of surgery.
