Dr. Nir Horesh is an Attending Surgeon and Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of General Surgery and Transplantations, Sheba Medical Center, Ramat Gan, Israel. Currently, he is a clinical fellow in minimally invasive / Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Cleveland Clinic Florida hospital in Weston, Florida.

His main professional and scientific interests focus on Colorectal Surgery, minimally invasive surgery, Inflammatory bowel diseases and colorectal neoplasia.

Dr. Horesh served as the head of the Israeli intern association (2012-2014) and did his General Surgery residency at the Sheba Medical Center in Israel, and at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He is part of the Advisory committee at the Israel Society for Colon and Rectal Surgery since 2020.

Dr. Horesh is also an avid researcher, and has published over 80 peer reviewed scientific papers, in addition to several book chapters. He has presented his work in various national and international platforms. In addition, Dr. Horesh completed a year of Basic Research at the prestigious Elinav Lab, Department of Immunology, Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, focusing on microbiome research. He is part of the scientific studies protocol committee of the European Society of Coloproctology.
