Dr. Roberto Paolo Iachetta is a general surgeon who graduated from and specialized at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza'. Approximately 15 years ago, he transferred to Sassuolo Civil Hospital, joining the Complex Unit for Proctological Surgery and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation. There, he dedicates himself to the diagnosis and treatment of all benign and malignant pathologies in the area, as well as to performing pelvic floor surgeries in collaboration with gynecologists and urologists. He has an extensive surgical record, having served as the lead surgeon in over 4000 procedures. Since 2015, after training at Homerton Hospital in London through the International Anal Neoplasia Society (IANS), he has expanded his expertise to include a focus on the early diagnosis and treatment of anal precancerosis. Currently, he coordinates the Precancerous Lesions and Screening Section for the Italian Society of Colorectal Surgery (SICCR) and is a member of the IANS.
