Professor Salvatore Pucciarelli qualified from University of Padua in 1978. His postgraduate training was at St Mark’s Hospital and at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, USA. He was promoted as Full Professor of Surgery at University of Padua in 2017.

He specializes in colorectal cancer surgery. Professor Pucciarelli and his team are internationally respected for their work in advanced rectal/anal cancer.

He has published over 300 peer-reviewed articles in medical journals and contributed to several books. He has given over 300 presentations and has lectured in several countries.
