My name is Sara Tavares Nogueira, I was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1986, and I have been AIS Channel Ambassador to Portugal since 2016.

I come from a mixed family of Capeverdians, Angolans and Portuguese and lived my first years of life between Lisbon and Luanda, moving to the latter when I was 9.

In 2004 I moved to Lisbon to start my Medical career in Nova Medical School, finishing it in 2010.
After 1 year of General Residency, I’ve started my Residency in General Surgery in Hospital de Cascais in 2012, changing to Hospital Professor Doutor Fernando Fonseca in 2014.
In April 2018, after 6 years of residency, I had my final Surgical Exam, rendering me the title of General and Gastrointestinal Surgeon. 

In June 2019 I’ve moved to Barcelona to work in Hospital Clínic Barcelona, where I’m currently at.
