Dr. Sorin Dumitru Aldoescu is a General Surgeon, currently practicing at the "Dr. I. Juvara" Surgery Clinic, within the Dr. I. Cantacuzino Hospital in Bucharest, Romania. His medical journey spans over two decades, marked by significant contributions to minimally invasive techniques and oncological surgery.

Dr. Aldoescu graduated with a medical degree from “UMF Carol Davila” Bucharest in 2000. Subsequently, he completed his residency in General Surgery at the "Dr. I. Juvara" Surgery Clinic, earning qualifications in advanced laparoscopic techniques, hepatobiliopancreatic surgery, surgical oncology and diagnostic endoscopy.

In 2015, Dr. Aldoescu completed a doctoral degree with a dissertation focused on the "Minimally Invasive Treatment of Anterior Abdominal Wall Defects." He further honed his expertise through numerous fellowships and advanced surgical courses across Europe, including specialized training in colorectal, hepatobiliopancreatic and oncologic surgery.

From 2023 Dr. Aldoescu is a “Fellow of the European Board of Surgery (FEBS)”, certified in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS). He has actively contributed to the surgical community through publications in peer-reviewed journals, focusing on hepatobiliary and pancreatic pathologies, minimally invasive approaches, and surgical oncology. He is also a respected member of multiple surgical societies, including the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) and the Romanian Society of Surgery.

Beyond his clinical and academic endeavors, Dr. Aldoescu has served as a mentor and educator, sharing his expertise through workshops and masterclasses. His professional interests are centered on surgical oncology including but not limited to minimally invasive approaches, risk stratification and optimizing patient outcomes in complex surgical interventions.
