Dr. Vasiliki Chatzirafail is a globally recognized leader in gynecological robotic surgery and a pioneer in minimally invasive techniques. Since 2009, she has served as the Director of the Gynecological and Robotic Department at Euroclinic Hospital in Athens, Greece.
With a surgical career in robotics spanning since 2006, Dr. Chatzirafail has developed a specialized focus on high-complexity cases. Her clinical expertise includes robotic treatment for severe endometriosis, oncological procedures such as hysterectomies with pelvic lymphadenectomy, and a distinguished series of robotic myomectomies for ultra-large myomas (up to 17 cm).

SERGS Leadership: As a Council Member and Chair of the Educational Committee for the Society of European Robotic Gynaecological Surgery (SERGS), she founded the SERGS Robotics School to standardize excellence in the field.
Institutional Impact: She serves as the President of the Society of Hellenic Robotic Gynecological Surgery (SHRGS) and is a founding member of the Robotics Society of Southeastern Europe (SEERSS).
International Educator: She has organized and led over 40 surgical training seminars across Southeastern Europe in collaboration with the University of Athens and major MIS societies.
Dr. Chatzirafail earned her medical degree from the University of Athens with honors. She completed prestigious postgraduate fellowships at the European School of Endoscopy in Verona and the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) in Milan.
