The burden of revision total hip replacement surgery is continuing to rise globally as more primary total hip replacements are being implanted annually. Revision surgery, particularly in the setting of significant acetabular bone loss, is one of the most challenging clinical scenarios and requires specialized techniques in order to adequately address this clinical entity. Experts in the field present techniques for the treatment of severe acetabular bone loss with an associated chronic pelvic discontinuity.
