- 51 y.o. female. Candidate for living-donor nephrectomy from her son
- ANGIO-CT scan: single artery and vein in both renal vascular pedicles
- BMO 28,1
Other History:
2 deliveries through infraumbilical midline caesarean sections
Procedure Steps:
- 1) Adequate trocar placement
- 2) Colon release and identification and section of the ureter
- 3) Lifting of the renal lower pole and identification of the vascular pedicle
- 4) Careful dissection of renal vascular pedicle
- 5) Complete liberation of the kidney
- 6) Hand-assisted section of the vascular pedicle with hem-o-locks
- 7) Kidney perfusion with Celsior and bench surgery (preparation for robotic kidney transplantation)
