Several surgical strategies have been described to deal with this issue. On September 29 Carlos Vaz from Hospital CUF Infante Santo in Lisboa (Portugal) performed a banded gastric bypass on a morbid obese patient in order to prevent pouch distention and weight regain. In addition, he was assisted by a surgical robot.
