Single Anastomosis DuodenoIleal bypass with Sleeve (SADIS procedure)

Clinical History:

53 years old woman Morbid Obese patient (BMI=55) with the following comorbidities:

  • Hypertension with two medications
  • Dyslipidemia treated with Statins Sleep Apnea Obstructive Syndrome (SAOS)
  • Insulin Resistance

Preoperative work-up:

  • Endoscopy
  • Barium Swallow
  • Abdominal Ultrasonography: normal

Blood preoperative tests:

  • Glucose: 106
  • HbA1C: 5.9%
  • Insulin: 36. H Pylori: -

Technique description:

We will perform a Single Duodeno-Ileal Anastomosis with Sleeve Gastrectomy at 250 cm from the Ileo-cecal valve.


Procedure Steps:

  • 1. Dissection greater curvature and Duodenum
  • 2. Sleeve Gastrectomy under a 54 French (18 mm) Bougie
  • 3. Duodenum section
  • 4. Bowel measurement at 150 cm form the ileo-cecal valve
  • 5. 2 layers Duodeno-Ileal Anastomosis
  • 6. Liver Biopsie
