One of the most vexing problems encountered by colorectal surgeons and gastroenterologists is anal fistulas. The myriad techniques and technologies available are evidence that there is no one solution. The constant quest for a cure of fistula without sacrificing continence has led to a wide range of advances. The internationally renowned experts in this session will discuss the evaluation as well as the medical and surgical management of anal fistulas, including the most feared complication following fistula surgery for fecal incontinence.
