As a result of technological improvements, the endoluminal approach takes us from a primary bariatric procedure (POSE, intragastric balloon) to the treatment of complications (gastro gastric fistulas) or revisional therapies (pouch remodeling for insufficient weight loss or weight regain).

This is a rapidly growing field and procedures are being performed by either endoscopists or surgeons. As a result, there various data on short-term outcomes are available which must be carefully analyzed.

Matthew Kroh of the Bariatric and Metabolic Institute at Cleveland Clinic (Ohio) is an expert in this matter and will take us through these surgical procedures performed with an endoscope.
