Thromboelastometry is a diagnostic tool for point-of-care coagulation monitoring. It helps the theatre team to simplify the distinction between surgical bleeding and coagulopathy.
The following presentation will provide a foundation for the principles, basic interpretation and clinical application of the thromboelastometry.
The Hospital Clínic have been using thromboelastometry since 2006. This lecture will transmit some data from the experience during this period.
