In this video, we present a gastric bypass using endocutter and powered circular stapler for gastrojejunal anastomosis. The movement of tissue and its interaction with staplers when the tissue is compressed are shown.

During the procedure, there’s no bleeding, although sometimes there can be some bleeding in some tissues along the stomach. Dr. Northup says that the linear stapler is a fantastic tool for cutting and dissection tissues.

Residents should watch many surgical training videos because there’s no right or wrong way to do this. Everybody has their own technique, and everyone develops their own technique by watching videos and exploring many surgery videos by many surgeons.
