In order to perform operations properly, being familiar with the human anatomy of the area that will be operated on and understanding it is crucial. Thus, an introduction to the anatomy of the colon is essential, not only to know what surgeons will face but also to understand what types of complications may arise. Moreover, anatomy images help to show different kinds of situations of colorectal cancer, as well as the different procedures for each situation.

Dr. Francesco Corcione discusses several videos of his procedures, giving recommendations and using them to comment on different aspects:

  •  Finding the mesenteric artery with some notes on how the anatomy is seen.
  •  The second video is similar to the previous one, but the cancer is in another colon position.
  •  A rare anomaly that has to be overcome in a procedure.
  •  A complication t due to the anatomy of the operation and the search for perfection in the performance.
