In this video, Dr. Luigi Boni discusses the various steps that the surgeon must take when performing an intracorporeal anastomosis. Using videos from previous surgeries, he gives recommendations and explains the different steps that should be taken.

To support this technique, various meta-analyses and papers are discussed - however, studies on this topic are not complete and trials are still ongoing.

Several points about the technique are still under debate, such as whether to perform mechanical or handsewn anastomosis, and relevant data are given. Dr. Boni explains the various points that surgeons should be aware of and how to make a decision on the procedure.
