The European Federation for Colorectal Cancer 10th Congress held in Vienna last 20-22 April 2017 gather the leading surgeons in colorectal surgery across the world. Among them, Giovanni Dapri, Professor of Surgery at Saint-Pierre University Hospital, Brussels (Belgium), explained the advantages and applications of transanal surgery, the basic principles that need to be followed by those surgeons willing to implement TaTME, and their experience with TaTME associated with single incision laparoscopy and the use of ICG in rectal surgery.
He discusses the actual worldwide experience with TaTME and different aspects of the technique. The lecture is accompanied by interesting videos.
