Bellvitge Alumni of Gynaecology Academy is the academic portal of the Gynecology Department at Bellvitge University Hospital. One of our missions is the dissemination and enhancement of teaching and innovation in gynecological surgery for benign pathology, pelvic floor disorders, breast pathology, and gynecologic oncology.

Since the inauguration of Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB) on November 8, 1972, and its subsequent collaborative merger in 1987 with the Institut Català de la Salut (ICS), HUB has been a reference hospital for complex pathology, especially surgical pathology. Proof of this, is the biennial celebration of international courses on gynecological and breast surgery. Since its inauguration in 1987, it has had the privilege of hosting the highest-level national and international surgeons in its facilities to perform live surgeries, discuss them, and enrich the knowledge of the entire gynecological community.

With the pioneering development of multidisciplinary units in 1996 and the initiation of a new strategic plan in 2003, the Bellvitge Gynecology Department has not only excelled in patient care but also in surgical education, welcoming students, residents, externs, master's and international fellows year after year. What we affectionately call Bellvitge Alumni. 

Thanks to this brotherhood of gynecologists that grows from generation to generation, Bellvitge Alumni of Gynaecology Academy aims to maintain its commitment to the training of our colleagues in a virtual and telemedicine manner, welcoming all those who wish to join our great family!
