Obtained first degree in Medicine (MBBS) in 2001 from University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. Initially served as Medical Officer in both district health clinic and tertiary hospital in Sabah, Malaysia. Entered Master of Surgery program in 2005 and completed in 2009. Subsequently was serving Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia from 2009 till June 2011. Enrolled into Colrectal Surgery subspecialty training program in July 2011 and rotated to various hospitals (University Malaya Medical Centre, Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Alor Setar, Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban) as well as fellowship attachement in Royal Glasgow Infirmary, UK (December 2013 till May 2014) and Samsung Medical Centre (June 2014 till November 2014). Upon completion of training, was posted to Sarawak General Hospital from December 2014 till October 2018. Transferred to Sibu Hospital from October 2018 till present as Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon and Head of Department of Surgery and Head of Ambulatory & Daycare Services of Sibu Hospital.
