Since the late 20th century, Chinese medicine has developed rapidly in comparison to the rest of the world, being China one of the countries which have made more significant advances in medical research and treatments. Cancer Hospital of Dalian University of Technology, Liaoning Cancer Hospital & Institute
Liaoning Cancer Hospital & Institute is situated in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, northeast China. It was established in 1975 which is a provincial-level, tertiary, academic hospital, specialized cancer center, integrating clinical practice, scientific research and teaching.
It has a total building area of 185,567 square meters, covering floor space of 43,242 square meters, 2,330 beds, and 2,369 medical professionals.
The Department of Thoracic Surgery of Liaoning Cancer Hospital & Institute was established in 1984 and has a history of nearly 40 years. Through the efforts of several generations of medical staff, our department has become a large-scale thoracic cancer surgery center integrating scientific research and clinical practice in Liaoning Province. It is currently composed of six wards, a laboratory, and a tissue biobank. The director of the hospital & institute is Prof. Hongxu Liu.
