Inequities in access to specialized surgical care remain one of the greatest challenges in global health. From colorectal and bariatric procedures to thoracic, reconstructive, and gynecologic surgery, countless patients face barriers based on geography, resources, or socioeconomic status. Addressing these gaps is not only a medical necessity but also a moral imperative to ensure every patient has the opportunity to receive safe, effective, and timely care.
