One of the most recent and exciting innovations in surgery is fluorescence imaging. Fluorescence imaging has been introduced in virtually every specialty and subspecialty to assess perfusion and to facilitate the delineation of anatomy. The common denominator of the utility of fluorescence imaging is that it has the potential to enhance safety by enhancing the definition of biliary anatomy, verifying anastomotic perfusion, identifying ureters, outlining nerves, accurately discerning parathyroid glands, and other uses. The internationally renowned expert faculty will review the uses of fluorescence imaging and discuss the methods of use, results of studies, current indications, and future directions.
